ABOUT
For years I surrounded myself with the arts: studying art history at the University of Toronto, working for The National Ballet of Canada, then directing Art Gems, an art auction in support of mental health.
A few years ago, I decided to try my own hand at art by taking art classes, first in drawing, and then in watercolours. I started making creations for family and friends and, when COVID-19 began, by painting tulip cards to thank those on the front lines.
The works on this site reflect several styles of painting I am currently exploring. I am slowly building my collection of watercolour landscapes. The Georgian Bay scenes featured on the site were painted for family and friends. Many of these cards have been make up into greeting cards. At the same time, I have designed some smaller ink and watercolour pieces that are whimsical, colourful, and fun. These are on 7” x 5" gallery wood panels or as greeting cards.
I am also a freelance copyeditor of non-fictions books. See Leutyditing.com for more information. I live in Toronto and enjoy part of the summer on Georgian Bay.
